Snow Puppies

It's finally snowing in Colorado. Amazing how this happens in the mountains. This is KC venturing out for the first time in the snow. She is not quite sure what to do...just give her time. Well, she figured it out! Pee in the YARD, young pup, not the house.
Oopsies! I forgot to put the hamster cage away. Oh, well, no harm. Hamster is gone...
Garage with a view. This is the actual visibility from the front of the house. I couldn't get to see my patients today because I'm driving Danny's convertible while he has the Aztec. Thank goodness he has the all-wheel drive. He has to get home through Raton Pass on Saturday.
I feel so bad for Lucy. Her fur is so thick. The snow clumps on like ice.
Okay, KC's paws are nearly frozen. Sad part...she hasn't pooped yet. I guess I better get some paper towels ready to clean up what she deposits in the house. Gross, I know.

Who's In The Dog House

No, it's not Danny! Tony built a dog house in "Industrial Arts" class....AKA shop. We bought and put it in the dog run for Lucy and KC. So, with this picture, you tell me....who's in the dog house? Tony sits in the house drawing on the inside with various colored sharpies. Crazy kid, lucky dogs.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today would have been my parents 52nd wedding anniversary. I called Dad this morning and wished him a "nearly 52nd" anniversary. He chuckled, which was good. We all miss Mom.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! This day has always been special to our family and always will.

As The World Turns

I had a tough time coming up with a title for today's post. I was considering: "where did the time go", "hand me the bottle of xanax", "please don't grow", or "stay gold Ponyboy". I have two sets of pictures here to demonstrate why I had this name game challenge.

First, consider the 3-month-old puppy, KC. She now has to wear a full size leather collar. She is close to 30 pounds and eats alot of food daily. She has started puppy kindergarten and so far she is doing good. Socialization has been successful and she is sweet and playful with other canines and humans alike.

Another angle. See the fat belly, long legs, growing snout? Yea, she will be a big girl. I think her tail is almost as long as her legs. She's only 3-months-old.

Now for my baby girl, Marisa. She had a very challenging day. It started off this morning with her first high school golf invitational.

Then....she got to drive my car for the first time! Yea, she backed out of the driveway and down the street. Before we made it to the intersection, I had had enough. She did good and listened to directions, it was just me. I had had enough. We went to Sally's Beauty Supplies so she could get Midnight Blue haircolor.

She dyed the underside of her hair, but with her hair being so dark, the midnight blue didn't show up very well. Purple....that's the color she wants to try "next time". Catch the conundrum?

Daylight Savings Time

UGH! Where did my hour go? It has been a lazy weekend. I guess it's okay to allow yourself some lazy time. It was cloudy and cold out yesterday, so we stayed close to home.

Today, it is sunny and cold. Tony has his Rite of Enrollment tonight at Mass. That makes him one step closer to being Confirmed!

Back to Daylight Savings Time...I never quite get use to it. I plan to use this morning to add recipes to the Recipes to Remember blog. I brought home some of Mom's cookbooks, so that has inspired me to keep the other blog updated.

Welcome to Varsity

Marisa is playing varsity golf! Granny would be so incredibly proud.

I returned to work this week. It has been great to be productive again. We are finally starting to get back into a routine.

Dad got a new dog! A Border Collie named Winston. Bless them both...
