These are taken from the end of the driveway at the lodge during my weekend in the mountains. We caught the beginning of the trees changing to Fall colors. Beautiful!

Beignets Any Day

We are going to New Orleans the first weekend in October with Danny's family. One of my favorite eateries is Cafe Du Monde. The beignets beat pancake Sunday any day! This is my last box of beignet mix. The chickory coffee was gone long ago (even though Danny said I could just buy it online, it's not the same as bringing it home from a NOLA vacation).

...I don't think I could either. These are two characters in the Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels. My mom and I would read a new book every summer. Good entertainment!
